Locked Lotus

A project inspired by Traditional Chinese art. I wanted to create a narrative art installation; combining technology and nature.

A lotus forever locked in place.

This project used motion detector sensors. Where when activated by a wave or the proximity of someone the lotus will start to bloom on its own.

Plywood, blue and green plexiglass, Arduino materials,
recycled fabric, nitinol wires, crystals, and a detachable light.
